An installation piece that brings the viewer into a digital space and makes them part of the performance. Through the use of projection, masking, and superimposition, the viewer’s body becomes a space that exposes social, economic, and environmental disparities. The meat space of the participant becomes the lens that captures and reveals humans’ influence – the good, the bad, and the ugly – on its very own environmental landscape.

The idea which we executed was to track the human body, project it onto a screen, mask everything else and the superimpose video and images that show environmental degradation.

We experimented with sensors like the Microsoft Kinect to detect and track body movement. We settled for a Logitech webcam because it made our node-based codes in TouchDesigner run faster compared to the former.
