A VR transformational/Serious game that elicits empathy for individuals with low vision. The gameplay is about a person who wakes up in a dark tunnel and has to find their way out into the daylight relying solely on 3D spatial sounds and limited light sources.
There are two goals.
The first goal is during gameplay. This assesses players who do not have visual disability as they rely on their secondary senses – in this case, the auditory sense.
The second goal is post gameplay. This assesses whether the players have a change in emotional or perceptual orientation towards how the real-world built environment affects people with visual disability.
I developed the game and programmed interactive spatial audio in Unity. Developed the 3D assets in Blender. I also designed the game poster, the splash screen video, animation and sound cutting in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
